Trip Overview
GETTING THERE:
Getting to Chaco is a pilgrimage in itself – preparing you for the transformational experience to come. The drive takes more than 13 hours from Southern California and requires an overnight stay along the way. You will need to leave your home on September 28th in order to arrive in the valley on the 29th. The drive from Albuquerque is 3 hours.
The last part of the route includes 8 miles of small paved road and 13 miles of rough dirt road. The 4 1/2 miles before entering the park are sometimes rough.
It is recommended you carpool in a vehicle large enough to support passengers and all your gear – and that can handle the rough road at the end. Upon arrival you will arrange a small ritual to enter into the valley. We will guide you in preparation.

WHAT TO ANTICIPATE:
Days – Each day we will embark upon an exploration of some part of the canyon and the great houses found there. Some days we will drive the loop and visit select great houses and some days we will do some gentle hiking to see other sites.
We will walk at a leisurely and comfortable pace allowing us to tune-in to the frequencies that are all around us.
We will spend time at each site, learning about what we “know” and intuiting and “feeling” the strong energies present. Even for “non-feelers” the magic and energy of these magical places seeps through.
Nights – Each evening we will share a satisfying and nutritious meal together followed by a campfire to laugh, have fun and share our experiences.
SPECIAL CEREMONIES / ACTIVITIES:
Night Sky Viewing – Weather permitting we will participate in the Night Sky program on Friday at the gigantic Chaco telescope – seeing the magnificence of the stars and planets that can only be found with such a dark sky and powerful scope.
Casa Rinconada – A special private time at the great kiva experiencing the potent energies there.
Sacred Cacao Ceremony – Experience the ancient ritual of drinking heart-opening Cacao while practicing mindful breathing and intention as the ancients have been doing for eons.
Sacred Medicine – A full day medicine ceremony to deepen our heart-opening and raise our frequencies amidst the powerful energies of Chaco Canyon.
Drum Circle – A drumming circle will be held to share rhythm and get in tune with each other and ourselves. To form a group consciousness and “connectedness” with the ancestors who came before us.
Native American Gift Giving – We will work with a local Native American group to sponsor a project important to them – as a way of offering a special blessing and saying “thank you” for sharing their magical ancestral lands with us. We will invite local Native Elders to come for a special meal we will prepare in their honor. And more… Stay tuned for some surprises!
